Trekking
Tour of Mount San Paolo
A medium-distance loop trail, very scenic, exploring the slopes of Mount San Paolo in the territory of Monte Grimano Terme, along ancient forest paths that have been restored for hiking and educational purposes.
The ascent follows the famous Sentiero dei Segreti (Path of Secrets), which passes through a dense mixed forest and leads to the Garibaldi Monument on Mount San Paolo, before descending along the Sentiero di Suripe, also of historical origin, completing a varied and nature-immersed route.
The loop has a medium hiking difficulty, suitable for walkers with a minimum level of fitness and also passable by mountain bike, featuring regular ascents, shaded forest sections, and wide panoramic views over the Valconca, the Montefeltro, and the Apennine ridge.
The trail lends itself to naturalistic, historical, and scenic purposes, integrating with the network of trails in the Monte Grimano Terme area and the narrative of Mount San Paolo as a "mountain of the community," rich in memories and ancient communication routes.

Endless Horizons: Panoramic Trekking on the Borromeo Path and Other Trails
For those who prefer to explore the area at a slower, more meditative pace, trekking offers an excellent alternative, or a perfect complement, to mountain biking. The trails that wind around Monte Grimano Terme offer equally spectacular views and a deeper connection with nature and the local history.
Routes and Itineraries
In Monte Grimano Terme, History is inseparably intertwined with Nature. The village and its hamlets rest in an unspoiled environment nestled between the slopes of Mount San Paolo and Mount San Lorenzo. This landscape of forests, pastures, and ancient medieval paths offers dozens of ideal routes for MTB, trekking, and gravel biking. The area is also a point of reference for the sports world, regularly hosting events and gatherings.
Monte Grimano Terme can position itself as "the ultimate bike-friendly village of the Marche", where the association's infrastructure (Bike Advisor) ensures professional standards that are lacking in many competing areas. The key is to integrate sports, culture, and services into memorable and repeatable experiences.
A Leap into History: The Medieval Charm of the Old Village and the Imposing Civic Tower
Walking through the cobbled streets of the historic center of Monte Grimano Terme is like taking a journey back in time.
The village, whose name origin Mons Germanus is linked to the nearby Monte Tassi castle, almost a 'twin brother,' preserves an intact medieval atmosphere that envelops the visitor.
Every stone, every corner, tells centuries of history, from the first Roman evidence, through the rule of the Carpegna and Montefeltro families—with notable figures such as Federico da Montefeltro, who in the 15th century freed the castle from the siege of the Malatesta—to its integration into the Papal States and, finally, the Kingdom of Italy.
