Bookcrossing Houses

The bookcrossing “houses” of Monte Grimano Terme are small fuchsia-colored structures, crafted by a local artisan and distributed throughout the village. These little houses serve as book exchange points, where residents and visitors can take a book, read it, and then release it at another exchange point. There are about ten of them, and the initiative is part of a larger project promoted by the municipality to encourage reading, even in the absence of libraries or bookstores in the village.
